Attorney Douglas Crawford of Indianapolis; ambulance chaser

The state of Indiana provided Scott Allen Benkie with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Valparaiso University Law School.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Doug guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Used public communication containing false, fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, self-laudatory or unfair statement or claim in advertisements
  • Used a statement intended or likely to create an unjustified expectation in advertisements
  • Used public communication that contains statistical data or other in advertisements
  • information based on past performance or prediction of future success in various advertisements
  • Solicited professional employment without use of the mandatory words “Advertising Material”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2015) Scott practices with Benkie & Crawford at 156 East Market Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
