Attorney Richard Jones of Topeka; moronic loser

The sate of Kansas presented Richard E. Jones with a law license in 1973.

The Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to appear at hearing on client’s behalf
  • Failed to return client phone calls
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Client’s lawsuit dismissed due to Dick’s negligence
  • Failed to advise client that court had dismissed her lawsuit
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dick!)
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to competently represent client (Moron)
  • Knowingly disobeyed a court order

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Dick.

As we speak (June 2015) Dick practices with the Jones Law Office at 1503 SE Quincy in Topeka, Kansas.
