Attorney Clifton Graves Jr. of New Haven, CT; serial deadbeat

The state of Connecticut provided Clifton Graves Jr. with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Bridgeport University School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Cliff guilty of the following misconduct.

In addition to the misconduct set forth below, Cliff’s law license was suspended on six (6) separate occasions because he failed to pay mandated annual fee of $75.00  to the Client Security Fund. Making maters worse, Cliff the Deadbeat wrote a check on a insufficient funds account (rubber) for $558 for past due payments.

  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Cliff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits in Connecticut are held to a much lower standard of conduct, Cliff was never criminally charged with writing bad checks.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Cliff practices at 257 Stevenson in New Haven, Connecticut.
