Attorney Gordon Spencer of Merced, CA; lying loser

The state of California provided Gordon J. Spencer with a law license in 1955 after he graduated from the University of the Pacific McGeorge Law School.

The California State Bar found Gordy guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while Gordy was the Merced County District Attorney.

In one matter, Gordy found it acceptable to misrepresent his identity while trying to resolve a dispute his son and daughter-in-law had with a kitchen cabinet company.

Gordy then assigned the matter to a deputy DA in his office’s consumer fraud unit.

Gordy then asked an investigator working at the DA’s office if he would agree to have his name used when he called the cabinet company, which the investigator agreed to do.

When the investigator asked how he would explain the difference between his voice and Gordy’s, Gordy instructed him to say he was sick.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Gordy by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2015) Gordy practices in Merced, California
