Attorney Garland Sanderson of Silver Springs, MD; ethical dwarf

The state of Maryland presented Garland Montgomery Sanderson with a law license in 2005.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Garland guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to appear in court on client’s behalf on four separate occasions
• Failed to advise client of his failure to attend multiple hearings
• Failed to timely appear at his own contempt of court hearing
• Nonappearance at hearings caused delay in disposition of client’s case

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Garland by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
