Attorney Charles Odgers of Ely, NV; ethical gremlin

The state of Nevada presented Charles H. Odgers with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Law School.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to properly communicate legal services to client
  • Engaged in the unauthorized practice of law
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Manuel by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Charlie.

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Charlie practices with the Nevada Public Defender’s Office in Ely, Nevada.
