The state of Minnesota presented Ira Wilbur Whitlock with a law license in 1996.

 

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer regulation found Ira Guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Ira’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to request court to enlarge one-year limitation period or to prepare petition for writ of habeas corpus on client’s behalf
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Made misrepresentations (lied) to client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Ira by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year term of probation.

 

Ira’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to timely inform client of his failure to perfect service of lawsuit on the defendants named in the filing

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Ira by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Ira practices with the Whitlock Law Office LLC at 324 Cedar Street in St. Paul, Minnesota.
