Judge Staci Williams of Dallas, TX; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Staci Jan Williams with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from Georgetown University Law School.

It should be noted that Staci succeeded in duping the voters in November 2014 into electing her as a Dallas County District Court judge.

State Bar of Texas’ Commission for Lawyer Discipline has recently (April 2015) is investigating misconduct charges against Judge Williams regarding her representation of Ms. Barbara Carr.

In her ethics complaint, Barbara accused Staci of:

  • Abandoning her case
  • Failed to appear for scheduled court hearings
  • Failed to respond to requests for information
  • Failed to file legal papers when she have done so
  • Failed to keep client advised of status of case
  • Failed to bring case files to final court hearing
  • Failed to provide her with a receipt for $5,000 paid in fees
  • Threatened client with $20,000 in legal fees if she exposed the misconduct involving in the client’s case

All that remains now is to see if Staci is punished for the alleged misconduct as aforementioned. Even if she is, at worst she’ll receive a complimentary reprimand from the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Staci remains sitting as a Dallas County District Court judge in Dallas, Texas.
