► Attorney Shelton Sparks of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Shelton Sparks with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Texas Southern University Law School.

The Grievance Committee found Shelton guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to completely carry out obligations owed to client
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decision regarding the representation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Shelton by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 12-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Shelton.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Shelton practices at 706 Cordell Street in Houston, Texas.
