Attorney Bruce Thorburn of Rochester Hills, MI; repeat offender

The state of Michigan presented Bruce J. Thorburn with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Detroit Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to propose a settlement on issue of retroactive child support
  • Failed to comply with requests from Friend of the Court for client’s financial information
  • Failed to produce witnesses relative to the client’s financial information
  • Failed to file objections to Friend of Court recommendations
  • Failed to inform client of judgment rendered against the client
  • Failed to return numerous calls from client

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Bruce’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He has also received a complimentary suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Bruce practices at 2731 South Adams Road in Rochester Hills, Michigan, which is a suburb of Detroit.
