Attorney Anthony Contreras of Whittier, CA; Dumbo, crook  

The state of California presented Anthony E. Contreras with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Southwestern University Law School in Los Angeles.

The California State Bar found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to perform legal services with competence (Dumbo)
• Failed to refund unearned fees (crook)
• Failed to file required notice of substitution as counsel
• Client’s case dismissed for failing to abide by court ruling
• Failed to obtain client’s consent to accept $5,000 from client’s son
• Failed to file opposition to notice of entry of judgment filed by opposing counsel
• Repeatedly failed to follow instructions from Court of Appeals

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California State Bar Court punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year term of probation.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Tony practices with the Law Offices of Anthony Contreras at 6745 Washington Avenue in Whittier, California.
