James Dobson: Today’s “Homophobe” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Jimmy. In the past, he has been the recipient of two (2) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of five (5) opinion pieces. Those awards and opinion pieces are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During a recent (04/07/15) conference call with fellow bigots and homophobes, James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Wallet feigned concern that a favorable ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court on marriage equality could lead to a full-blown civil war.

Jimmy told his fellow bigots:

• “Talk about a Civil War, we could have another one over this.”

Yeah Jimmy, because freeing the slaves wasn’t something Jesus didn’t support, then it only stands to reason that Jesus would support a Civil War over same-sex marriage. Put simply, if you’re going to be a bigot, then you’ve gotta be an “equal opportunity bigot,” Jimmy.

Jimmy finished up with his bigoted rant by saying:

• “The country can be no stronger than its families.”
• “I really believe if what the Supreme Court is about to do is carried through with, and it looks like it will be, then we’re going to see a general collapse in the next decade or two. I just am convinced of that.”
• “So we need to do everything we can to try to hold it back and to preserve the institution of marriage.”

Some of the other bigoted homophobes that joined in with the conference along with Jimmy, were celebrated bigots Rick Scarborough of Vision America, Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel, and Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.

 All of the above named bigots have pocketed millions in untaxed contributions attacking members of the gay community. Put simply, the gay folks they attack are made to pay the taxes they avoid while being repeatedly victimized by them. Isn’t America a great country?
