Judge William Marshall of Portsmouth, OH; drunken convict

The state of Ohio presented William Tierney Marshall with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Cincinnati Law School.

The Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline found Judge Marshall guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with the law
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in integrity of judiciary
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Operated a vehicle while intoxicated
  • Pleaded guilty to driving under influence (DUI)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Billy the Lush by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2015) Billy continues to sit (when sober) as a Scioto County Common Pleas judge in Portsmouth, Ohio.
