The state of Colorado provided Robert Edward Gilbert with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Bobby found it acceptable to use used an expletive to refer to a female judge in the course of negotiating a plea deal with prosecutors.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
