Attorney Terrence Tormey of Brick, NJ; ethical leprechaun

The state of New York presented William A. Thompson III with a law license in 1988.

The New Jersey Office of Ethics found Terry guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Terry unethically representing a 79-yearold native of Portugal who had difficulty in speaking and understanding the English language in the sale of his home to another of respondent’s clients (a sophisticated businessman).

The consequence of this transaction was that Terry’s conflict, coupled with his gross negligence and failure to communicate with the seller, caused the seller to essentially give his house away.

Terry represented both parties to the sale of the home through the closing.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Terry by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Terry practices at 1 Toledo Drive in Brick, New Jersey.
