Attorney Mitchell Barker of Nampa, ID; ethical dwarf
The state of Idaho presented Mitchell R. Barker with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Idaho Law School.
The Idaho Bar Counsel found Mitch guilty of the following misconduct.
- Engaged in the illegal practice of law in another state
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Failed to notify Oregon DA that he was not licensed to practice in Oregon
- Failed to notify client that he was not licensed to practice in Oregon
- Allowed for multiple judgments to be taken against client in contested probate matter largely due to Mitch’s inaction
- Continued to represent client in probate matter w/o client’s consent to do so
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Idaho Supreme Court punished Mitch by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. October 2014) Mitch practices at 541 South Valley Drive in Nampa, Idaho.
