Attorney Harold Beims of Atwood, KS; serial offender
The sate of Kansas presented Harold Scott Beims with a law license in 1968.
The Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys found Harold guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Harold was hired to handle the estate of Bettie Bergling’s on behalf of her heirs. While working on the estate tax returns, Harold discovered additional investments which needed to be liquidated. After the liquidation, the heirs were notified by the IRS that an additional $10,000 was owed in taxes as a result of the liquidation. Due to Harold’s failure to take action regarding the IRS matter, the heirs were assessed interest and penalties on the $10,000.
As one would expect, this wasn’t Harold’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. Harry previously received the following punishment for engaging in a variety of misconduct on three occasions.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Harold by placing him on probation for three years. In truth, the comedians sitting on the Court didn’t mete out any real punishment to Harry the Repeater.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) Harold practices with Lewis Beims & Holste Ltd. at 509 Main Street in Atwood, Kansas.
